The AngaCom fair, held annually in the city of Cologne, Germany, opened its doors to visitors this year from May 20 to 22.
According to information provided by fair officials, the number of participants and visitors increased this year compared to previous years.
We visited the fair on its last day, and it didn’t seem too crowded. Most of the participants we spoke to mentioned that it was quieter this year.
As for innovations, we didn't observe anything particularly exciting. Among the highlights were 4K satellite receivers at the stands of Humax and Samsung, but these were still prototypes, and it seems it will take some time for a finished device to be released on the market.
VU+ introduced an entry-level model called Solo SE, and GigaBlue showcased a small IPTV device. A company official said that the device would be launched in August. Marusys, the Korean company that manufactures VU+ devices, was promoting its PrismCube device with a 2.0 GHz dual-core processor, presenting it as the fastest device in the world.
